Sea Island, home of the Cloister luxury resort and the Golf Lodge, ranks as the #1 golf resort in America. The Sea Island Company has been a Speartek client since 2002. Initially, they needed a site where they could publish and control the content created by their marketing agency, and keep their design fresh and up to date. They needed a new site, with a great design and an easy to use content management system. An additional requirement was integration with their online reservation system.

Strategy

For over 8 years, Speartek has served Sea Island as a technology partner, emphasizing flexibility and a willingness to work with Sea Island’s design and branding agencies, along with resources located within the company itself. Speartek embraced Sea Island’s needs, providing a stable hosting environment for a very high traffic / high profile site, and providing a consistent consulting resource so Sea Island stayed on top of the latest developments in ecommerce and resort management technologies.

Solution

Speartek built an extensive and informational website for Sea Island on the Speartek content management platform. Additionally, Speartek trained and supported Sea Island staff to empower them to control their own content updates and manage their resources. For their latest round of site redesigns, Speartek partnered with design agency TIG Global to develop a design that met the client’s needs, and tied in to the existing platform.
